Up early to view venus and saturn. Also saw a shooting star.
Drove back to Belfast

Drove to enniskillen. Ended up at garrison on lough melvin for some rowing on the lough. Waited 45 mins for the guy to turn up with the paddles (he said 15) before we went looking for him…life in the slow lane. Drove back to rathmullin.

Rainy day. Hung out in cottage and read. Took a stroll down the beach.

Set off from cottage about midday headed for portnoo. Stopped at blueflag beach at narin overlooking iniskeel island. Then headed for portnoo.
Drove to dungloe Then to glenveigh national park. Took bus to the castle and looked round the gardens. Drove back to cottage. Table at rathmullan house at 8pm. I had duck and oxtail ravioli followed by north atlantic halibut on a bed of mushroom risotti. Also had guiness bread.

Set off from belfast arrived approx 4pm rathmullan.
Star gazing in evening, identified the summer triangle, ursa major and the great square in pegasus which we used to locate andromeda which appeared as a blur

Spent morning at lake windermere . Hired a rowing boat, a pleasant way to spend an hour before wandering around the shops. Drove to Port William in afternoon, visited Maries Auntie Grace.
Caught ferry to Belfast in evening.

Dropped stalker off at catsafe and headed for lake district by car. Staying at Fayergarden hotel (Www.fayrergarden.com la23 3jp)which includes a meal. Took a walk down to the ferry on lake windermere before dinner. Looked familiar.
